Nudibranchs, also called sea slugs, are marine gastropods that belong to the scientific order of Nudibranchia (subclass Opisthobranchia of the class Gastropoda). The scientific name, Nudibranchia, means naked gills, and while not all nudibranchs have visible gill sacks, many do have a feathery looking cluster of gills exposed on their back. “Nudis” are a favorite subject of ours for underwater photography. We hope you enjoy seeing our collection.
